Endlessly Adaptable.
The challenge: Utilize perimeter snap component from co-molded TPU frame in our cheapest cut-and-sew style universal case.
Combining these components presented a unique challenge: how can the PC snap be layered in with cut-and-sew materials without making the case feel clunky? How could we include this component without drastically increasing the MSRP?
Nylon “clips” extend from an inner panel to stretch over the corner of the device and hold it in place. This nylon clip had to be carefully designed to fit a variety of devices securely without warping so that it would maintain its integrity though repeated use. The elastic straps that the nylon clips are attached to presented a challenge. Through iterative hands-on experimentation, I was able to define an acceptable tolerance that would accomodate slight variations between units in mass production.
